I am currently working as a Network Administrator within the United States military, where I've been for the past five years. My job involves making sure our computer networks are running smoothly and are secure from cyber threats. Before this, I was a and still am a United States Marine, where I learned a lot about nothing involving my current occupation. In the Marine Corps, I was a basic radio telephone operator with advanced radio frequency knowledge.
Over the years, I've earned some important certifications, including the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+). This certification helps me understand how to keep our network safe and handle security issues. Right now, I'm taking this course to renew my CASP+ certification so I can stay in line with the latest in network security.
In the future, I plan to use this certification to move into higher positions like maybe a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer. In the next 3-5 years, I want to lead a team, implementing new security measures and network solutions to keep an organization safe and efficient. My main goal is to ensure that the networks I manage are secure and can handle the fast pace of technological change, helping the company stay ahead.
